The slim, tapered tips of Aftco's Taper-Tip Aluminum Landing Gaffs cut through water faster and with greater accuracy to minimize the problems associated with gaffing powerful fish. Aftco Landing Gaffs feature shafts that are specially swaged for uniform end-to-end strength and significant weight reduction. Fitted with soft but rugged black grips molded from the same non-slip material found on the finest fishing rods. Black vinyl butt caps seal out corrosive moisture and prevent deck scarring. The barbed hooks are made from corrosion resistant stainless steel that will not straighten out with use. Triangular points offer better penetration and ease of sharpening.
