This innovation enables the reels to achieve super high drag capabilities with fewer parts than a traditional reel. Crank up the drag and the machined side plate absorbs any load you can dish out, all without causing any binding to the main and pinion gear. Gears, pinions, and handle maintain perfect alignment no matter how heavy the load. A Precision Machined Stainless Steel Main Gear and Heat-treated Stainless Steel Pinion Gear provide a powerful 6.3:1 Gear Ratio that will withstand many long hard game fish battles. Combined with the Versa-drag, Multiple Drag-stack Arrangement, an Oversized Soft-Grip Power Handle, a Lightweight Strong Forged Aluminum Alloy Frame, Spool, and Side plates the Torque is lightweight, hi-speed but powerful reel suitable for large bottom fish or hard running big game. The TRQ300LD is a completely new and innovative design that incorporates all the functionality of a lever drag system while keeping all benefits of a star drag reel.
